FXP / (Server-to-Server) Transfers Fail
This error occurs when the option "Block FTP_Bounce attacks" is enabled and the client requests that the server connect to a different IP address for a data transfer than the client's public IP address. In most cases, this means that the client is connecting to the public IP address for login but requesting that the server use a private IP like 192.168.*.* for the data transfer.
To disable this option, follow the steps below:
- Open the Serv-U Management Console
- Navigate to Server Settings | FTP Settings | (Use Custom Settings) Global Properties | Advanced Options
- Uncheck the "Block FTP_Bounce attacks and FXP (server-to-server transfers)" option if it is checked (default is unchecked)
- Save the option

To disable this option in Serv-U 6.x, follow the steps below:
- Open the Serv-U Administrator
- Select Settings | General
- Under the "General" tab, un-check the "Block FTP_Bounce attacks" option.
